Succession is the heavy favourite to win Best Drama at the 2023 Emmy Awards

Betting is already available for the 2023 Emmy Awards and UK Betting Sites have odds for the big categories including Best Drama Series.

It's no surprise to see Succession a big favourite in the betting market with the latest odds having the series at 2/5 to win the Best Drama Series Emmy later this year.

In what has been a big year for TV it's always been predicted that it'll be a head-to-head between Succession and The Last of Us for the big awards this coming season.

According to William Hill though it's The White Lotus that will be a competitor as it makes the jump from limited series to drama series at the 2023 Emmy Awards.

Best Drama Series Emmy Odds Probability
Succession 2/5 71.4%
The White Lotus 11/2 15.4%
The Last of Us 7/1 12.5%
Better Call Saul 8/1 11.1%
What the expert says..
It looks increasingly likely that Succession will have a big season at the television awards this coming year and it now has a 71% chance of winning the Best Drama Series award at the Primetime Emmys!

Kieran Culkin is also favourite to win Best Drama Actor for his role in Succession

Succession star Kieran Culkin is favourite for the Best Drama Actor Emmy as the series is expected to have a big show at the Emmys later this year.

Culkin starred as Roman Roy in Succession and only recently won a Critics Choice Television Award for that role with more wins expected to come for the actor.

The odds for him to win Best Drama Actor don't make him as heavy a favourite as the Best Drama Series category though with Bob Odenkirk close behind for his role in Better Call Saul alongside Culkin's Succession co-star Jeremy Strong for his role in the show.

Best Drama Actor Emmy Odds Probability
Kieran Culkin - Succession 2/1 33.3%
Bob Odenkirk - Better Call Saul 9/4 30.8%
Jeremy Strong - Succession 9/4 30.8%
Pedro Pascal - The Last of Us 4/1 20.0%

When will the Emmys take place?

The 2023 Emmy Awards are set to take place on September 18, 2023, with no location yet to be set for the prestigious awards show.

The Daytime Emmys were postponed earlier this month from their planned date of June 16 due to the ongoing writers strike.

There's no suggestion that this year's Primetime Emmys will be cancelled too but it's definitely something to keep an eye on going forward.
