  • Kendrick Lamar’s GNX is the 1/1 favourite to win Album of the Year at the 2026 Grammys.
  • Lady Gaga (Mayhem) and Sabrina Carpenter (Man’s Best Friend) are seen as his biggest rivals.
  • Bad Bunny and Jelly Roll round out the leading contenders at 5/1 apiece

Kendrick Lamar’s GNX Leads The Market

With the countdown now on for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, betting odds are here in on the biggest category of all, Album of the Year.

After narrowly missing the eligibility cutoff for last year’s ceremony, Kendrick Lamar’s highly acclaimed album GNX is the early frontrunner.

Betting sites have installed Lamar as the even-money favourite (1/1), with Lady Gaga’s Mayhem and Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend following closely behind.

Taylor Swift just misses the cutoff for the 2026 show with her album not releasing until October, meaning her original favouritism has now gone.

Kendrick Lamar: Back In The Spotlight

GNX was hailed as one of Lamar’s most ambitious and socially resonant projects yet, drawing comparisons with To Pimp a Butterfly.

After missing out on last year’s ceremony due to timing, the anticipation for Grammy recognition is sky-high.

If Lamar does secure Album of the Year, it would mark his first win in the category, cementing his reputation as one of the most important artists of his generation.

The Challengers: Gaga & Carpenter

Lady Gaga’s Mayhem has seen her return to her high-concept pop roots, with critics calling it her boldest work in years.

At 2/1, she remains a serious contender, especially given her past Grammy pedigree.

Meanwhile, Sabrina Carpenter’s meteoric rise could hit its peak with Man’s Best Friend.

At 3/1, her odds underline the industry’s recognition of her transition from rising star to major pop force.

Expert Comment

What the expert says...
Kendrick Lamar’s GNX is rightly the favourite after missing out on last year’s Grammys. But with Gaga back in the mix and Carpenter riding a huge wave of momentum, this feels wide open.
