Succession star Sarah Snook is 4/6 favourite to win Best Drama Actress award at the 2023 Emmys

Betting is now available for the 2023 Emmy Awards with Succession dominating most of the categories at the upcoming show and it's no different with the Best Drama Actress category.

Sarah Snook, who stars as Shiv Roy in Succession, is the 4/6 favourite with UK Betting Sites to win Best Drama Actress at the Emmys with her role critically praised as the show wrapped up earlier this year.

Succession is expected to be a big player at this year's awards shows and judging by the betting market here it'll be no different at the Emmys.

William Hill say there's a 60% chance of Snook winning Best Drama Actress with Yellowjackets star Melanie Lynskey second favourite behind her in the betting market.

Best Drama Actress - 2023 Emmy Awards Odds Probability
Sarah Snook - Succession 4/6 60.0%
Melanie Lynskey - Yellowjackets 5/2 28.6%
Bella Ramsey - The Last of Us 6/1 14.3%
Imelda Staunton - The Crown 8/1 11.1%

Succession is the big favourite to win Best Drama at the 2023 Emmy Awards

It's no surprise to see Succession is also favourite in the betting market for Best Drama with the latest odds having the series at 2/5 to win the award later this year.

In what has been a massive year for TV it's always been predicted that it'll be a head-to-head between Succession and The Last of Us for the big awards in the awards season towards the back end of 2023.

According to the latest betting market though it's The White Lotus that will be a competitor as it makes the jump from limited series to drama series at the 2023 Emmy Awards.

Best Drama Series Emmy Odds Probability
Succession 2/5 71.4%
The White Lotus 11/2 15.4%
The Last of Us 7/1 12.5%
Better Call Saul 8/1 11.1%

When do the 2023 Emmys take place?

The 2023 Emmy Awards will take place on September 18, 2023, but no location yet has been set for the prestigious awards show.

The Daytime Emmys were postponed earlier this month from their planned date of June 16 due to the ongoing writers strike.

There's no suggestion that this year's Primetime Emmys will be cancelled as well but it's something to keep an eye on going forward with a potential postponement on the cards if the writers strike goes into the next couple of months.
