McLaren given 80% chance of winning the Constructors Championship this season

McLaren remain heavy favourites for the 2025 Constructors Championship with the first weekend's standings putting them joint top alongside Mercedes on 27 points.

The Papaya team's cars looked the strongest on Sunday in Australia with the wet weather the main reason as to why they didn't get a 1-2.

Oscar Piastri very nearly saw his race over when the wet weather saw his McLaren car skid out of the race and onto the grass but he eventually got going again to finish in 9th place.

Norris kicked off the 2025 Formula 1 season with a win in Australia last weekend

The 2025 Formula 1 season commenced with a thrilling Australian Grand Prix where Norris delivered a masterful performance to secure victory.

Starting from pole position, Norris showcased exceptional skill and composure amid challenging, wet conditions, leading the majority of the race and fending off reigning champion Max Verstappen to clinch the win.

McLaren secured a front-row lockout in qualifying and they may well continue that dominance throughout the campaign.
