John Morden Centre shortens further to 6/5 to win this year's RIBA Stirling Prize

Betting remains available with UK Betting Sites for the RIBA Stirling Prize ahead of the ceremony which takes place tomorrow, October 19th, in Manchester where the winner will be announced.

The John Morden Centre in Blackheath has been the favourite for the prize ever since the shortlist was first announced and the odds to win have come down further into 6/5.

Mæ Architects have already won the RIBA London Award 2023 and RIBA London Building of the Year Award 2023 for the John Morden Centre and it looks like they could go a step further with the big Stirling Prize.

William Hill's latest odds suggest there's a 45% chance of the John Morden Centre winning the prestigious award in architecture with A House For Artists the second favourite in the market.

Altogether there are six different buildings that are up to win the RIBA Stirling Prize with the shortlist featuring some of the best feats in architecture in the UK in the past year.

London dominates the nominations this year but the shortlisted projects are different innovative buildings that include work and living as well as education.

The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) has presented the award since 1996 and will do so this year tomorrow night in Manchester.
