Blue Orbit returns from a long break but placed second on his racecourse debut last season, following that with a win. Both his handicaps were Class 2 affairs, and the horse may appreciate the drop to Class 4 level today. Blue Orbit drops down in trip to 5 furlongs, the distance over which he registered his only success, and could go well if fit on his all-weather debut.

Back over 5 furlongs after contesting a hotter race at Lingfield. Obviously thought capable of better. Stepping him up two grades, then drops back down a grade and still looks on a workable mark with top jockey booking for this course.

She has won 2 of her 7 starts, and she has been running in a far higher class of races in her other five. She is still 7 lbs above her last winning mark, but that came in a Class 3 and she contests a Class 4 today. She makes her all-weather debut today, but she is a half-sister to three all-weather winners, so the surface should suit.

Looked at this race for a while lastnight and had to get involved for some outside value. Akabusi has it all against him on paper but for an inform horse and being 1 for 1 at Wolverhampton hes definitely worth a chance. Mike Murphy has hit some form this month and with akabusi being off the course for 3 months im hoping he can follow the form of his stable mates. Worth noting akabusi last race he finished infront of Alasrae at Lingfield who then improved since, coming second nto and landing a double in this Class. Price wise there is a big contrast and Akabusi looks thrown in to a competitive race thats not his usual trip so im willing to play the each way angle.

The Ollie Sangster-trained Sam James Artista returns to action after a five-month break. She's a quick filly and won a couple of races as a 2yo. If the 3yo Caravaggio filly pings the gate, then a surprise could happen at rewarding odds. One to watch.

It’s a bit of a wild play here, but this horse wasn’t beaten all that far by the current favourite last time and gets a 9 lb swing in the weights with that horse. She also finished not all that far behind the second favourite previously off level weights, and gets 9 lb from that horse too. The race lacks an out-and-out front runner, and she’s been ridden that way previously. Taken back last time off a break, I’d hope she’s taken forward from stall 4 here and ends up on the front rank, as her last race was just blitzed by the winner off the front end. She looks far too disrespected by her price overall from a good draw towards the bottom end of the weight carries.
