3:00 Musselburgh Tips

Started this season with promising placed efforts at Newbury and Sandown. Wouldn't need to be much better to win this today.

Pontefract winner Haayimm ran into the subsequent Britannia Stakes sixth Conclave at Hamilton on his latest start and, while an opening mark of 95 does not look especially generous, he remains open to plenty of improvement and could still be up to the job.

Won here in similar company back in April despite first run in 254 days, although the gelding operation would have contributed. Ran a tough 3rd at Haydock before a couple of poor efforts, but both of those were in much higher class two company. Raced here again latest in the same company and was a very unlucky 3rd by a neck, so there are signs he loves running here. Drops back to class three company here, so this should technically be easier than that.

Thunder Wonder enjoys it here at Musselburgh, winning twice from 3 starts including one over C&D. Those victories came from marks of 84 and 92 and although he's not won since his best recent effort was when 4th back here two starts back from 85. Upped in class last time without success, he's back down in grade here down a further 2lbs to an attractive mark of 83.

DWINDLING FUNDS started the season with a good run in this grade and trip from this mark. If matching that trip he could outrun this price and he did take a step forward last time out, which suggests the disappointments here at Musselburgh in April and York in May are now well in the past. Tricky to rule out so this price is a touch surprising.
