He was a good runner-up that day, losing out in the last 100 yards, and this shorter trip could be the answer. A few runners behind were rated higher than the rivals he now faces.

This one was a beaten favourite last time out, and they have an interesting jockey booking/change. A good value each-way bet for the four places available.

This candidate is a formidable each-way choice, bolstered by his remarkable AW record, highlighted by a recent hat-trick of wins. He followed up with a respectable 3rd over this C&D in February, proving his capability and marking him as a consistent competitor.

Boasts strong overall form and looks like could get a lead early. If so, can do enough to hold off the finishers to place.

Five-time winner whose last win came in March last year. Has not been as good of late and makes debut for a new yard today. Each-way chance if rediscovering some of that old form.

A former course and distance winner who has been running over shorter trips this year. Last seen over the extended mile at Wolverhampton last time out when 4th of 7, this step up in trip could suit.

The Joseph O'Brien-trained SAN Andreas has done the vast majority of his racing in Ireland. His previous few visits to these shores have not set the racing fraternity alight. However, dropping back in distance, with another seven-pound claimer on board and racing off a six-pound lower mark than his last race at Dundalk, Joseph O'Brien and his team may have found just the right place for him. San Andreas is now a ten-year-old and has proven in the past he can run well when returning from a break. Hopefully he can roll back the years and run very well.
