4:20 Leicester Tips

I am picking Asinara in this Class 5 handicap as it has had 9 runs out in flat races on turf, winning just 2 of them, but it has placed in the other 7. It is running off a rating of 72 in this race, and in its last run out, it placed 2nd in a Class 5 off a rating of 72, finishing half a length behind the winner.

Traveled strongly when winning over the extended 5 furlongs at Bath 8 days ago, and every chance to follow up off a 5-pound penalty.

Vince L'Amour is in cracking form at this late stage of the season. He all but won the very competitive five furlong handicap on the first day of the Western Meeting at Ayr. He can readily be excused his next run at Ripon as he was very badly drawn there. He then was a nice winner at Musselburgh last time, and looks good enough to follow up here.

Ran better than form figure wound indicate Lto in a class 4 handicap @ Doncaster, as they reared as stalls opened and got left, finally coming 6/14 beaetn 6 lengths. Retains same mark dropping down to this class 5, goes very well on soft ground, very under used jockey up and in hands of a shrewd trainer, making current 9/1 solid Ew value here.

STASH THE CASH has been largely disappointing this turf season, but has been trending in the right direction, culminating in a mid-division finish at Pontefract last time out. That was over six furlongs and if he replicates that run over this shorter trip, he might be able to put the bad run behind him. Softer ground no problem, so each-way potential.

You could do a lot worse than having a small each-way bet on the Henrietta Knight-trained Griselda, who last year, when trained by George Scott, won three races in a row, all on turf, and is a big price here. 

They are dropping this one down in class/grade with the regular jockey back on board. Worth a small each-way saver bet.
