The front two will probably fight this out but after a sustained duel, horses can disappoint next time. Looking for third place and being optimistic is my preferred strategy. RAHIEBB was kept busy during his classic season and it would have been no shock if he had not trained on. A win at York back in May dispelled that at least. There is no excusing a 24-length defeat in the Ascot Gold Cup, unless you blame the trip. Just maybe, that would be allowable, and of the opposition, the selection may come out best.
