Two runs this year for the 5yo and is looking better than ever. He was a 5L Listed winner on his return, posting a huge and career best RPR rating. He then suffered a narrow defeat in an 18 runner Group 1 contest at Royal Ascot. He comes here fresh after a five week break and all his his rivals in this Group 2 contest look like Group 3 class at best.

Last years winner Witness Stand was well back at Chester LTO but never really stood a chance given how the race played out and I think is better judged on his 2nd to subsequent Queen Anne winner Ten Bob Tony at Epsom two starts ago. He seems well suited to undulating tracks and has two wins and a 2nd from three previous runs over C&D. Qirat also loves it here and has to be respected but Witness Stand beat Lake Forest last year and I think conditions will suit him fine.
