Has the Balding/Murphy combination won really well at Doncaster last time out. Handicap debut here off a a very winnable mark

Infraad won a novice big-style by over 6L and eased towards the post back in April. In the next race in July, on handicap debut, he could only manage third after a slow start and not getting a clear path on the run-in. I think there is a lot more to come now up in trip.

Cannes was a big disappointment at Royal Ascot. When backed as though defeat was impossible, he never got into the race that day. He has been given time to get right since, and the yard could have him primed for today's race. Just hoping he does not have another off day.

Looks priced on the high side here given he beat two horses shorter in the betting on his 2nd start comfortably and goes off similar terms here. His Dam stayed this far so he shouldn't have too much concern with the extra trip, and on balance he looks well handicapped against this field. Harry Eustace has his strong on good order, so coming off a break here shouldn't be too much of a worry and is probably the reason he is this price.

Tierra Del Toro has been highly tried. This is only a slight drop in class compared to the other runners in the race. Infraad is clearly a big danger, and I did toy with the idea that Infraad may just win this. The price for Tierra Del Toro is a good each-way price in this event.

Baltic Fleet arrives in really good form. Trainer does well in big staying handicaps. 20/1 looks good each way value here

This 3-year-old colt has shown to be a promising newcomer. Second in his first two runs and then a very credible 4/8 at Doncaster where he went off at 50/1. Progress likely. Each-way bet.

Blue Hercules did show a big improvement when second up, handicapping only to miss out by a neck in a C2 when second. With the expected improvement from a 3yo, I would expect more today. I also like having Billy in the saddle this time. EW

The market has vastly overpriced this progressive gelding despite his outstanding recent speed figures and upward trajectory over twelve furlongs. Today's tactical setup projects an end-to-end, furious tempo, which plays directly into his strengths as an unyielding late-grinder. While stepping up in class, he carries a featherweight burden that makes him dangerously well-treated against more exposed rivals. At 28/1, the market is pricing him as a total outsider when his sectionals prove he belongs in this company.
