Chasing Out The Blues is a progressive-looking young chaser who stays three miles very well. He hasn't had that many attempts over fences and has performed well in pretty much all of them. His trainer, Mark Walford, has his string in good form and places them very well.

Never traveled and was pulled up 83 days ago at Doncaster, but was in good form before and after. After being given a break, he could come back to form here. Stable jockey rides again, and this is a rare runner for the top stable at this track. All is noted. Looks capable of winning if bouncing back.

Hudson De Grugy changed yards in October, and the latest two runs have shown a marked improvement, with a second and then a win by 8½ lengths, both off a 120. He could be ready for another go at C2 off a 127 today.

Paddy O'Mahler has been creeping up the handicap and goes for his toughest test yet. With two wins and three second places this season, he is at the peak of his form. As an eight-year-old chaser he should be peaking this season and should be involved in the finish, having beaten Blakey Boy at Newcastle in December.

The 8-year-old wasn’t disgraced in a strong handicap five weeks ago. He wasn’t given a hard time in the latter stages and was probably saving something for this contest, which has a nice £20K for the winner. The selection was a close third in this race last year, and he has a 12 lb lower mark now.

This season, he has established himself as a powerful chaser, achieving four wins up to 3½ miles. He recently finished 5th at Sedgefield this month. Despite not clinching victory, he performed well after a break. He is facing tougher rivals here, but Paddy Hanlon's 5 lb claim might be beneficial, so an each-way bet at 14/1 appears decent value.

No Regrets last won off a mark of 110 and is now dropped to 107. Can go well over three miles here, having shown some nice each-way form recently.
