Last time out, she landed a Listed Mares' Hurdle over 3m ½f, winning by 5½ lengths from Sunset Marquesa. Prior to that, she finished a close 2nd in a Grade 3 Mares' Hurdle over 2m 4f on soft, beaten just ¾l. She had also run well in a Listed contest at Doncaster, finishing 4th behind Lavida Adiva. Her Irish form also reads well, having competed off 130 in a mares' handicap over 2m 6f on soft ground. Now rated 137, she sets a clear standard in this race. With proven class, strong staying form, and conditions to suit, the weight is the main question. But with the claimer offsetting some of that, she looks to hold an excellent chance here at Ayr.

Stayed on well over 3 miles at Ludlow when 4th of 6, beaten 6.75 lengths, at Ludlow last time out. Eased a pound in the handicap, and the first-time cheekpieces could inspire.

Form of win here early in March in similar conditions looks strong, and third in this last year off a similar mark. Good value to be in the frame.

The 8-year-old mare aimed a little too high six weeks ago. She faces calmer waters now, but she had come into that race after two narrow defeats and a 5L win. More consistent than most of these rivals, she is still on a handy mark, with a good jockey in the saddle.

Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore must have been doing a rain dance to have the ground on the slow side. That can see Starlyte making a play from well off the pace and can see Patrick Wadge getting his mount into an attacking position for a result, appearing with bottom weight of 10-2. The mare is by Sir Percy, and she has hardly raced here, which is surprising. Ayr can be a stiff course and there is a slight incline here that can test many with stamina issues which Starlyte can expliot of others here.
