This looks a tough race, but won easily at Sandown latest in a Class One affair. The debut was also at Huntingdon and resulted the same. I would say strong preparation for this race.

It may only have been a Class Five race, but there was much to like about the way Burds of a Feather sauntered to a nineteen-length win. Today she takes a step up in grade to a Class Two race. Interestingly, the current favorite Princess Day won her opening hurdle race in a Class Five event by a comfortable two lengths before, next time out, going up in grade to a Class Two race and winning that. Hopefully Burds of a Feather can do the same and can gain an Aintree winner for one of the youngest trainers in the country, Max Comley.

The winner of her only start in Irish points shaped promisingly on her rules debut when 2nd in a mares' bumper at Newbury. She went through that race with plenty of zest. There should be more to come and she is worth considering.

Kiltybo looks a strong contender to set the pace in this race. She has won her last two races at Thurles and Naas, beating her nearest rivals by around four lengths on each occasion. Her chances of finishing in the money are very real

Large fields like this can bring surprises in bumpers. I believe the good odds for Princess Day should not be overlooked. She has significant potential and a big engine to handle the long straight at Aintree.

Despite this being a stiffer assignment, LADIES DAY placed yet again when 2nd to the reopposing Ti’mamzel at Huntingdon 4 months ago. Jockey Jack Andrews has placed three times in three rides (100%) when aboard. One to watch.

She achieved victory in her debut at Hexham. While considered an outsider at 50/1, she remains relatively untested and has previously exhibited steady performance with competitive speed ratings. The support of a 3 lb claimer enhances her chances, making her a formidable contender for a strong placing in a challenging field.
