The stable have won this race twice in 5 years and he looks to have lined this one up to improve that record this year. He won on heavy 2 starts ago and then was an excellent 2nd on similar ground on seasonal debut last time out. The horse was given an 'interesting' ride by this jockey when the winner had flown before this horse picked up and passed many horses to finish runner up. It therefore looks like the horse has been targetted with this race in mind and he looks sure to go close.

Lightly raced Aswellasabentley has been showing signs of improvement and looks interesting here. Unplaced in his first four starts, he showed form for the first time when 4th at Kilbeggan last April, beaten 7 lengths. He returned from a break last month when again 4th at Downpatrick, beaten 5.5 lengths. He is off the same mark here, and with more progress likely, he looks a good EW bet with 6 places on offer.

Spanish John is 'thrown in' according to the Racing Post on the current hurdles mark of 86 (11 stone). I don't quite understand that comment since he's placed but not really gone close off this mark the last three times over hurdles. Harry Sexton claims a 7 lbs allowance for good measure. The Racing Post also NAP the horse. A bit puzzling. Not like the Post to give away a winner but has the ring of a strong tip about it. Spanish John has won races on the Flat, including early last month. Being backed but has ability and may be capable off this mark.

Accustomed is a horse who appears to have made steady improvement since moving to Delaney's yard. His last two races have seen him finish fourth and second. In his last race, he was beaten eleven lengths by the odds-on favorite but finished eighteen lengths clear of the rest of the field. Providing he acts on the ground, then from only a five-pound higher mark, every chance Accustomed will be very competitive.

Hatfield Hammer reverts back to hurdles after two failed attempts over fences. Majority of his best form is on better ground, although he is related to soft ground winner. If he can handle the deeper ground, he could bounce back to form.

A very open-looking handicap where a chance is taken on the unexposed Run For Cover, who at 22/1 looks great value. He was made too much use of last time out but was staying on nicely over course and distance before that off a higher mark on today's bottomless ground.

Ran in better class races last season without getting in the frame. Makes handicap debut today off a good mark. Place chances, trip, and ground should be ideal.

A tracker I have. Will like the ground and the trainer is in decent form at the moment. Decent claiming jockey onboard. Six places available, which might change tomorrow with NRs... Hopefully, get decent odds with 5 or 6 places.
