Well Bud looks a good horse with scope to progress. He made a promising start when third over this course and distance, and the fact he's already shown me that he handles the track, trip, and ground, and has a tongue strap fitted should be a solid base to build from. Pedigree-wise, Kingston Hill should help bring out more stamina, and there should be a bit more to come from him I reckon

Super Freak ran a really promising race first time out at the Galway Festival last year. He hasn't run for a while, but he has since moved to Thomas Cooper, who can get his horses fit after a layoff. He is by Jukebox Jury, who is one of my favourite sires, and he is well bred on the dam side, being out of an Oscar mare who is related to the brilliant Menorah. The booking of Charlotte Butler for this ladies' race also looks a positive, as she has a good record in bumpers.
