Scheffler's unparalleled consistency in Strokes Gained metrics, particularly off-the-tee and approach, makes him the most reliable pick. His ability to adapt to varying conditions and his proven major championship-level mental fortitude on challenging courses like Renaissance Club, combined with his overall dominance, positions him perfectly to contend and win.

Rory has won this Scottish Open in the past, and though out of form since his Masters win, he did hint at a return to form last time. He seems to like it here and is my first bet this week.

Tommy Fleetwood has been banging on the door of these elite events and has occasionally found one opponent too good. Back to playing in conditions that will suit, and a perfect platform for his game.

I think Scheffler will not be fully into this event because the Open is around the corner. Schauffele, on the other hand, not only likes to play here, but he is a former winner back in 2022, which was his third top 10 from the last four starts here. Six cuts made in a row with five top 28 is good enough for me.

Collin Morikawa changed caddy before the tournament. It should spark his game. I feel, he can win this week. He was T4 last year at Scottish Open.

Matt Fitzpatrick regained form and now will again compete with the best. He can win the Scottish Open. He has a top 6 finish here and with his best game, can win it at a favorable course.

Same has come close to winning in the last few months with three top seven finishes in his last seven tournaments played, one of those at the US Open. On current form, he looks a good price.

Viktor Hovland has a win at Valspar Championship and 3rd place at U.S. Open in the last 8 tournaments he played. Good skillset for Scottish Open and good form. I like Hovland at given odds.

Adam Scott went really close to winning last year with MacIntyre hitting a blitz of birdies in the final few holes to take it away from him. He is in good form and could be involved once more.

Ryan Fox is having a great season, and conditions here might well suit him this week. He has been so much improved this season and looks a contender at a price this week.

Harry has been playing really well on the PGA Tour this season. Given his current form, he should go well on this course that suits his game.

Aaron Rai was 17th in his last start at the Travelers Championship, and I do think he will have a good Scottish Open. He was 8th in 2018 and won the Scottish Open on this course in 2020 and was 4th last year. I think Rai could win here again.

McNealy can be hit or miss, and backing him is justified only on the right odds like this one. Moreover, he has a couple of top 5s in his last six made cuts. McNealy has a realistic chance to participate in the Ryder Cup, and I think this week the American will eclipse.

The Danish golfer won the Irish Open last year, so he is a good links-style player who has also won the Made In Himmerland, which has windy conditions. In the last three years in the Scottish Open, he has been 10th and 21st, and I do think Rasmus Hojgaard could win another big European event this week.

Rasmus Neergaard Petersen is a long shot to take. The Danish player was very good with back-to-back top 14 finishes, including the U.S. Open.

24th at the Rocket Mortgage Classic two weeks ago, and the Dane opened with rounds of 69, 65, and 67. He is a DP World Tour winner who is good in links conditions. He was sixth here two years ago at The Renaissance Club, and I am backing Nicolai Hojgaard to have a good week at the Scottish Open.

The last four years have seen Thomas Detry finish in the top ten twice in the Scottish Open. In 2021, he was runner-up on this course, and I do think with the Belgian a winner this year on the PGA Tour that he could win this week.

Value pick here at a big price for the South Korean who placed 3rd in 2022, 6th in 2023, and just missed the top ten last year by one shot despite finishing strongly with a six-under last round. Missed the cut a few times recently, but appears to enjoy it at this venue.

The Chinese player closed with a 68 last week at the BMW International Open, and he has back-to-back Top 5 finishes at the Soudal Open and Turkish Airlines Open. He won the Qatar Masters earlier this year in windy conditions. I am backing, with top five finishes at The Open Championship and the Alfred Dunhill Links, that Li Haotong is one to watch this week at the Scottish Open.

Kristoffer Reitan is the form pick. The Norwegian player was great on the European Tour. In the last 7 tournaments, he has a win, T2, T2, and T4 finishes.

Nico Echavarria is a good each way bet at insane odds. He is playing good golf, T6 at the Rocket Classic two weeks ago. The Colombian got his biggest victory at ZOZO, where the course requires similar skills.

Fancy our Englishman Tommy Fleetwood. He's done everything but win a big tournament, so in this category, he has every chance. He's nerveless, and it's about time.

As the defending champion and a native Scot, MacIntyre possesses an intimate understanding of links golf and the nuances of The Renaissance Club. His recent strong finishes, including a runner-up at the U.S. Open, demonstrate peak form and confidence on home soil.

Harry Hall's best performance this year was at the Charles Schwab Challenge, where he finished in 6th place. He is ranked 2nd in Average Strokes Gained: Putting and could use that to improve on his 60th place finish in this competition in 2023.

Schauffele is a past winner here (2022) and consistently performs well on challenging courses. His all-around game, including strong iron play and putting on fescue greens, makes him the most likely American to finish highest.

Harris English's best performances this season saw him win the Farmers Insurance Open and finish in 2nd place at the PGA Championship. He participated last in the Travelers Championship, where he was 4th.

Maverick McNealy's best performances this season have been at the Genesis Invitational, where he was 2nd, and 3rd place at the Valero Texas Open and the RBC Heritage. His last participation in this event was in 2022, where he was 16th.

Brian Harman's best performance this year came at the Valero Texas Open, an event he won. He was 21st at this competition last year and 12th in 2023.

Fleetwood's game is tailor-made for links golf, excelling in ball-striking and around-the-green play. His strong course history at Renaissance Club, including a playoff loss, and his recent surge in form make him the standout European player in this field.

Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen's best performance this season has seen him finish in 2nd place at the Puerto Rico Open and the Qatar Masters. He makes his debut here. His stats on strokes gained approach, strokes gained around the green, and strokes gained ball striking suggest he could challenge here.

This looks like a tough market to call, and I am going to side with Rasmus Hojgaard as he was 10th here a few years ago. He is a great driver and needs a good finish to get into the Ryder Cup team.

Thomas Detry's best performance this year came as a win at the Phoenix Open. He was 26th at this event last year and 10th in 2022.

Nicolai Hojgaard's best performance this season was at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, where he finished in 2nd place. He was 39th at this competition last year and 6th in 2023.

Last week, Alejandro missed the cut by just one shot. That hides the fact that he has been playing well, and he has the game to put in some low-scoring rounds here. Just last year, he finished 15th, and I fancy he will be one of the better European players in this event.
