LIV Golf Invitational Virginia Tips

The American won the last LIV Golf event over in Korea and he was also runner up to Scottie Scheffler at the PGA Championship last month at Quail Hollow. Bryson DeChambeau won at The Greenbrier two years ago and I am backing he warms up for the US Open with another LIV win this week.

Rahm has been barely out of the top 10 on tour and showed that good form at the latest major with a top 10. I would pick him over Bryson here.

I shall go with Joaquin to go very close. He is the leader on the LIV Tour this season in rankings, having won three times already. Most of the players have not played since the USPGA Championship, so he should be well rested.

Carlos Ortiz is yet to have a win this year on the LIV circuit, but he has shown signs of form with a second and fourth place finish. A win should be just around the corner.

Reed’s five top-10s in eight starts and T4 in Korea signal strong form. His elite short game is ideal for RTJ’s penalizing nature around its contoured greens.

Smith’s elite short game (2nd SGARG) and putting (4th SGPutt) are vital for RTJ’s tricky, penal layout. Recent top-10s suggest form. 21.00 offers value.

Muñoz’s elite stats (6th SG Total, 6th SG Approach) and four 2023 top-10s make 26.00 appealing. Strong accuracy and iron play suit RTJ’s demand for precise GIR.

Brooks Koepka often finds some form ahead of the major championships and he is a former winner of the US Open which is coming up. He has top ten finishes in Adelaide and Singapore this year and I think LIV Golf Virginia will be a good course and tournament for the multiple major champion.

Dean Burmester was seemingly always in contention on the DP World Tour, and having joined LIV, it didn't take long to record his maiden LIV Tour win at 2024's Miami tournament. I fancy the South African to go close in Virginia this week.

The American was third at the last tournament which was LIV Golf Korea and I do think Talor Gooch will have another good run at the LIV Golf Invitational Virginia. In his last three he has been Top 15 in them all and I think Gooch will have another good chance of winning this week.

Marc Leishman is a solid bet here. He is familiar with this course and has been playing well in recent tournaments, finishing strongly. So likely, he is capable of a decent score this weekend here.

Paul Casey has some decent finishes recently and was 5th in Las Vegas and tied 2nd in Hong Kong. He looks in good shape of late to get into the top 5 of the leaderboard come the last day.

Caleb Surratt is a decent price outsider here. He has some good form, though, and could be underestimated here. I think he has a good chance to have a strong weekend.
