BMW International Open Tips

Patrick Reed is a player you love or hate. I like him at the moment, lol. He can start quick here after last weekend and maybe go on to win this week. Strong player and in form.

David Puig is the top pick for first-round leader, leveraging his long driving distance and aggressive style. Recent LIV Tour top-10s and strong SG: Off-the-Tee suit München Eichenried’s scorable par-5s. A T20 here in 2024 and an early tee time enhance his fast-start potential.

Haotong Li, the 2022 wire-to-wire winner here, is a top-5 first-round pick. His strong SG: Tee-to-Green and history of a 64 opener at München Eichenried highlight his early-round prowess. Recent Asian Tour top-10s show he’s in form for a hot start.

Jayden Schaper is a value pick for a top-5 first-round finish, with three straight DP World Tour top-10s. His accurate driving and hot putting align with München Eichenried’s layout. Recent low opening rounds and course suitability boost his chances for a strong start.

Sergio Garcia is a strong contender for a top-6 finish, with two runner-up finishes at München Eichenried and a recent LIV Tour win. This BMW International Open does have an open look to it, a few of these at good odds, can be doing well. Richard Mansell hasn't been too far away in some recent events, he may well do better today because Richard usually shows slightly better form on courses very similar to today's course.

Although Ugo missed the cut in his last 2 tournaments, he was doing much , much better prior to that, he'd one very well in each of his last 7 events prior to the last two. I'm sure Ugo won't have been happy with his most recent two performances , now looks like the time he'll be bouncing back with a better performance, he has the ability to bounce back.

I like these odds for Scott Jamieson to possibly be in the mix at the end of day one. Yes he needs improvement on what he's shown on his last few events but he's a player with ability, he's possibly worth one more chance. It was only as recent as a couple of months ago that he was showing some good form, at times on similar courses to today's so on that basis, he could be doing well if he can get back to something like that form.
