Reed is the top player in this tourney. I would be amazed if he does not get to the final grouping on Saturday afternoon.

Jordan Smith is a safe bet for a top-6 finish, with three consecutive top-8s at this venue, including two podiums. His consistent SG: Approach and fairway accuracy (68%) suit München Eichenried’s tight layout. Recent top-20s in Europe further solidify his form and course fit.

Laurie Canter is a mid-tier pick for a top-6 finish, with three top-15s in his last five DP World Tour starts. His strong short game and SG: Approach stats fit the course’s tricky greens. Past top-20s here and recent form make him a solid contender.

Martin Couvra is poised for a top-6 finish, riding a hot streak with four top-10s in his last five DP World Tour starts, including a T2 in Italy. Ranking third in the Race to Dubai, his strong SG: Tee-to-Green stats align perfectly with the course’s need for precision.

Already a winner of the Hero Indian Open, Eugenio Chacarra has been in good form all season. But for a last round 72 in his last event, the Italian Open, he would have finished a lot closer than 7th.

Third last week at the Italian Open and the Scot had a great weekend shooting 64-68. He won earlier this year at the Joburg Open and twelve months ago he was 32nd in this BMW International Open with a poor weekend stopping him contending. I am backing Calum Hill will put more than two good rounds together this year to challenge in Germany.

The Scot won last time out at the KLM Open in Holland, and it was his second top ten of the season after a tied 9th in the Joburg Open. He was 14th and 4th the last two years in the BMW International, and I am backing Connor Syme. He likes this course and will feature this week in Germany.

Kristoffer Reitan rounds out the top-6, fresh off a Soudal Open win and a T2 in Austria. His birdie-making ability thrives on München Eichenried’s scorable par-5s. Strong SG: Approach and recent momentum make him a value pick for a high finish in Germany.

Marcel Siem missed the cut in the Italian Open, but he has two top ten finishes under his belt. He is certainly capable of making a top six position.

The Frenchman found some form in early July last year with a tied 9th place finish here in Munich, and he then went to Scotland and finished 3rd in the Genesis Scottish Open. Two top ten finishes in the BMW International in the last three years, and I am backing Romain Langasque to have a good week in Germany.
