Wales beat the Philippines 8-2 yesterday in the last sixteen. With England and Scotland out, I am tipping they are favorites to win this World Cup. The Welsh won the title in 2023, and my tip is they sweep aside Hong Kong to move into the semi-finals.

Wales (Jonny Clayton and Gerwyn Price) are the favourites. They come here after an 8-2 legs win against the Philippines in their first match here in Frankfurt. But Hong Kong (Man Lok Leung and Lok Yin Lee) have shown some nice performances this week. Hong Kong have recorded 3 wins in their first 3 matches here in Frankfurt, including an 8-4 legs win against Sweden in the round of 16. At these odds, I will try Hong Kong.

Wales are simply on a different level in terms of quality and experience. Their scoring averages and checkout percentages are among the best. Hong Kong may have moments, but Wales should dominate from start to finish with minimal threat of an upset.

In the previous match against the Philippines, Wales scored an average of 96 from 3 darts. Hong Kong against Sweden had that figure of 94. It's going to be a roughly even contest.
