Next Of Kin shaped with plenty of promise on debut and should improve from that experience. She showed enough speed to suggest this setup will suit, and the Haggas yard does well with this type of progressive youngster. With natural improvement expected, she looks to have a strong chance of getting off the mark.

Novak is a previous C&D winner, down to a very dangerous mark. Finished 2nd here in a better-quality race a few months ago. Decent E/W value.

Nathaniel Colt, trained by A. Fabre. He was bred by the Qatar Royal Family but given to the Dubai ruling family. Pierre-Charles Boudot rides (top jockey). Looks a big, strong colt and has a great chance today with lots of scope and raw ability.

Star Cast looks a strong contender here after very consistent recent runs, including two wins from the last three starts. She's already proven over this course and distance and won well here last time, so conditions clearly suit. With her current form and solid tactical profile, she looks capable of going closer again. My NB for the day.

Sixcor looks a solid E/W play at 12/1. He's a proven Ayr performer, won here recently, and has competitive figures for this level. The 6f trip is a slight concern, but he has won over C&D before and arrives in good enough form to go well again here. With a 5 lb claimer on board and four places available, he looks overpriced.

Fallacious Promise looks a strong contender back at Kempton, having run very well over this course and distance last time out despite not having the clearest of passages. He remains on a workable mark, should get a race setup that suits his closing style, and looks capable of improving again with a cleaner run through.

Mohaab looks an interesting selection with a profile that suggests there could still be more improvement to come. He has shown enough ability to be competitive at this level and should be suited by the conditions. His recent form gives him a solid platform to build from. If he gets a good position and settles into the race, he looks capable of taking another step forward and rates as a strong contender.

He's down to a workable mark of 58, has Paul Mulrennan booked in the saddle, and looks capable of outrunning his price.

Nod Of Approval ran a respectable 7th of 15 at Galway Festival. He's been running on the flat and remains fit. He makes his hurdle debut off a mark of 75. I think this is a workable mark. He has a high cruising speed and should strike turning into the home straight. Highest-rated horse in the race and a decent small win bet for me at 6/1.

Harry Knows looks like an extremely strong contender after an impressive 4½-length win over this exact course and distance last time. He's already proven on fast ground. The cheekpieces clearly help, and Oisin Murphy keeps the ride. He does have to prove that he can defy a higher mark now handicapping, but his recent progress and Windsor form make him the one to beat for me. NAP

Chemdawg looks to have a strong chance in this 2m handicap hurdle. She produced an excellent front-running performance when winning by 6 lengths at Kilbeggan in April, making all and finding plenty when challenged. Her ability to bowl along prominently should suit this sharp test, and she also arrives fit and in good form. The drop back to 2m is the main question, but if Phillip Enright can dictate from the front again, she could prove difficult to pass. 4/1 looks a good price for this win bet.

Indian Run looks to have his form again and remains well treated on the pick of his old form. He won nicely at Thirsk off 86 recently, recording an RPR of 97. That came after an encouraging second at Windsor. He's clearly thriving for the Julie Camacho yard and looks capable of another big run if getting his preferred strong pace. E/W shout
