Having taken a few runs to settle into his current campaign, he stepped back in the right direction last time out when finishing a close third at Carlisle off this exact mark. With jockey Shane Gray retaining the ride and fitted with cheekpieces, West Tyrone finds himself extremely well-weighted. The combination of a proven track profile, dropped rating, and recent encouraging form makes him a primary contender to land a decisive blow tomorrow afternoon.

The 3yo filly was a good 4th over this 10f trip early last month, only losing out late on. It was her handicap debut and just a fourth career run, and you could expect some more progress from her. She has a 2lb lower mark now and I like the fact that the 2nd and 3rd from the race have won three races between them since.

Motawaared has been shaping as though a win is close, and his latest C&D fifth came after a breathing operation. With Paul Mulrennan aboard again, he looks a strong value play at 9/1 here today.
