- The Carolina Panthers own the first overall pick in the draft.
- Ohio State's C.J. Stroud is listed as the favorite to come off the board first at -350.
- Alabama's Will Anderson is the first non-QB listed at +15000.
The NFL Draft will be held in Kansas City, Missouri between April 27th-29th. The first round will be telecast on ESPN/ABC on Thursday night starting at 8p and running past midnight. The top of the draft is likely to see a handful of quarterbacks come off the board early, but which quarterback will hear his name first? Sportsbooks believe that the Carolina Panthers first selection will be a quarterback, which is why they list four quarterbacks with the best odds to hear their name first.

The Carolina Panthers traded with the Chicago Bears on March 10th for the rights to the first overall selection in the NFL Draft. The Panthers sent their first round selection (9th), a late-second-round pick (No. 61), a 2024 first-round selection and a 2025 second-round pick to Chicago in exchange for the first overall pick. They did this, presumably, with the intent of selecting a new franchise quarterback. Sportsbook odds reflect that strategy with all non-QB options listed at a probability of 0.66% or lower.
C.J. Stroud is the runaway favorite to hear his name first at the Draft. Stroud would be the third Buckeye quarterback selected in the first round since 2019. If Bryce Young were to hear his name first, he would be the third Alabama quarterback selected in the first two rounds since 2020. And while Anthony Richardson has been a fast-riser in the pre-Draft process, he's still considered a long-shot to go number one at a generous +1000.
