This exciting season of American Idol keeps on delivering with a crop of talented singers coupled with some heartbreaking cuts. After much anticipation, we’ve finally reached our final 12 contestants for this season. The latest episode (which aired on April 24) saw the final 20 contestants perform their songs, with some shocking eliminations taking place as well. The contestants that were eliminated on April 24 include: Michael Williams, Hannah Nicolaisen, Mariah Faith, Naliyah Serenity, Paige Anne, Matt Wilson, Kaeyra, and (more surprisingly) Olivia Soli.

The recent episodes also featured great performances, including one from soul legend Smokey Robinson, and former American Idol singer Noah Thompson.

That being said, here are the current odds from sportsbooks for the final 12 contestants of American Idol 21.

We Ani Closes in on Iam Tongi

Ever since his touching audition (which was dedicated to his late father), Iam Tongi has had the staunch support of fans across different social media platforms and was the clear favorite to win this year’s competition. However, he has some stiff competition of his own from We Ani, who delivered a powerful rendition of Adele’s modern classic bond theme, “Skyfall”, after finding out she has made it to the top twelve. We still think Iam Tongi has the best odds to win the competition, especially since he has the most support from online fans of the show.

Nevertheless, it’s still a fierce competition, and we wouldn’t be surprised if some of the other contestants manage to come out on top.

Nutsa’s Stock Takes a Tumble

Georgian singer Nutsa can’t seem to catch a break. Although all of her performances have been stellar up until this point, she seems to be unable to captivate the fans of the show and was at risk of being eliminated last episode. Fortunately for her, she was saved at the last minute by the judges, solidifying a spot for her in the top 12. She can’t rely on that every single episode though, so she’ll have to find a way to win the hearts of American Idol fans before it’s too late.

Tyson Venegas is a Name to Keep an Eye On

Although his current odds sit well below some of the favorites of the competition, we think this seventeen-year-old Filipino Canadian has what it takes to perhaps steal the show from the top two. Like Tongi and Ani, Venegas has stayed consistent throughout the competition, and he has a good attitude, and seems to be gaining popularity with fans of the show. That’s a deadly combination and could prove to be Venegas’ x-factor (wrong show?) as he moves through the later stages of the competition.
