The Freak Show Revelation slot has quite the number of bonus features. In the base game, The Host can award 3 bonus features whilst there are 2 main bonus features (offering free spins and respins), as well as ‘Super’ versions.

The Host features 

As mentioned, The Host Wild symbol substitutes for all paying symbols. When it lands, 1 of 3 bonus features will be randomly triggered:

• The Generous Host feature: The Host Wild expands to cover the entire reel (i.e. awarding a wild reel).
• Host Multiplier feature: Above the reels, a toggle reveals a random multiplier of 5x, 10x 25x or 50x. The multiplier is applied at the end of the spin to all wins.
• Host Cash feature: The Host counts all the Freak symbols on the reels (including himself). This value is multiplied by your current total bet. Furthermore, The Host multiplies the total amount with 1 random multiplier between 2x and 10x.

Up to 5 The Host Wild symbols can land on the reels at any 1 time: only 1 per reel. It cannot land on reels that contain xBomb and/or Ticket Bonus symbols.

If multiple The Host Wilds land simultaneously, the features play out in order: The Generous Host, Host Cash and Host Multiplier (with a maximum of 1 Host Multiplier, 2 Generous Hosts and 2 Host Cash symbols). Finally, if The Generous Host and Host Cash features are both activated, the wild reel counts as 3 symbols.

xBomb

Look out for the xBomb Wild symbol landing on the 3 middle reels: substituting for all paying symbols, the exploding xBomb Wild removes adjacent symbols and increases the multiplier for the next collapse. Not landing with The Host and Ticket Bonus on the same spin, line wins unchanged by the xBomb Wild in the current spin and respin will be paid twice.

Bonus features

Landing 3 Ticket Bonus symbols in the base game spin will see you choose from the Heaven Spins or Hell Respins features, as you enter Act I. If you land 4 Ticket Bonus symbols in the base game or 1 Ticket Bonus during an Act I bonus, you’ll activate the Act II Super version. Below are all the details:

• Heaven Spins: beginning with 10 free spins, there is a higher frequency of The Host features. A single Ticket Bonus symbol actives the ‘Super’ version and gives you 3 extra free spins. All free spins left from the Heaven Spins are played as Super Heaven Spins.
• Super Heaven Spins: starting with 10 free spins (except when triggered via the Heaven Spins), The Host features are guaranteed at leat once on each free spin.
• Hell Respins: starting with 3 respins, only multipliers between 1x and 10x, blanks, Ticket Bonus symbols and The Host can appear. Aboe ever reel are multipliers, which start at 1x. When a Multiplier symbol lands, the value is added to the reel’s multiplier. When The Host lands on a reel, he doubles the reel multiplier value. If multiplier and The Host symbols land on the same respin, all multipliers are collected with The Host doubling the value. If at least 1 Multiplier symbol or The Host land, you’ll get 1 more respin. Once the feature ends, all reel multipliers are combined as the feature’s total win. 1 single Ticket Bonus symbol activates the ‘Super’ version with 2 extra respins: the ‘Super’ version keeps all collected reel multipliers too.

Following on from Nip Tuck, Sneaky Slots’ 2^nd release was always going to be an interesting one. The Freak Show Revelation slot is an odd-looking game which really shows the freaks coming alive in this ultimate performance.

When it comes to the base game, The Host takes centre stage (in true showmanship fashion):  he randomly activate 1 of 3 bonus features: they are wild reels, random multipliers up to 50x and multipliers determined by the number of freaks on the reels. If you land multiple The Host Wilds, you’ll benefit from a combination of extras.

Then you have the xBomb Wild that removes adjacent symbols and increases the multiplier for the next collapse. Truth be told, the xBomb mechanic is a little disappointing as it could have been combined with the other base game features for higher win potential.

When it comes to the main bonus features, you have normal and ‘Super’ versions. In the Heaven Spins, you benefit for more The Host features, with The Host guaranteed on each free spins in the ‘Super’ version. I preferred the Hell Respins as you collect multipliers, which are then added to the reel multipliers. If The Host appears, he doubles or triples the reel multipliers.

With 13,000 x bet max wins, I preferred Nip Tuck being honest. Freak Show Revelation could have done with using the xBomb Wild more effectively in my opinion. That said, if you like the xBomb mechanic, Nolimit City games that use the xBomb mechanic better include Home of the Brave (61,446 x bet max wins) and The Cage (25,000 x bet max wins).
