Just another Big Bass title out on 12th February 2024 - the session started with a bonus round after just 2 spins which paid a nice 52.3x, despite not getting to the second level. Outside of the bonus, returns were poor with just 11 wins in the 100 spins returning a session RTP of a below par 78.6% which was a slight disappointment in the end - lots of dead spins here which could be tiresome and for me not at the level of Big Bass Hold and Spinner megaways which has been my favourite to date

Theme - Fishing

The jolly fisherman is suited and booted up in his overalls again, searching for the best catch.  He's at sea for this game rather than a lake or a river, and he's casting his huge net down into the waves. The adventure is taking place at sundown, and the orange hues give a glow across gameplay.

You'll see the usual underwater scene on the grid, complete with bubbles, weeds and fish darting around in the blue water. The special symbols in order from the highest value first are a boat, fishing rod, dragonfly, and a tackle box. The standard symbols of A, K, Q, J and 10 then follow these.

Also, an octopus can again randomly appear and change one symbol on the screen into a scatter.

During the Free Spins feature, each Fisherman Wild also collects all of the values from Money symbols on the screen. During the Free Spins round, each position on the grid of symbols has a multiplier that starts from 1x. Every time the money symbol hits that position, the multiplier for that position is increased by x1. Every time the Fisherman Wild collects a Money symbol value, it is first multiplied by the supplier of the position it is in. All of the Fisherman Wild symbols that hit during the feature are collected until the end of the round. Every 4th Fisherman Wild symbol collected retriggers the feature and awards 10 more spins.

Play Experience & First Impressions

Did this Big Bass game stand out from the others on the market and float my boat? No, not really. The features were pretty similar to the other games, and the core info such as RTP, reels, paylines and max win were pretty much the same. The stake range was the same too, which is a wide one starting at £0.20 and going up to £250.  The simplicity of the Big Bass games is a positive as they do what they say on the tin.  There wasn't much difference from its last title which was Big Bass Christmas Bash which was released in November 2023. It does make you wonder when this series will ever end, but there must be demand or else Pragmatic Play would not keep churning out these games.
