Arsenal Tighten Grip on the Title as City Falter
The Premier League title race took another twist this weekend, with Manchester City suffering a damaging 2-0 derby defeat to Man United.
That gave Arsenal the perfect opportunity to stretch their lead at the top of the table but Mikel Arteta’s side could only manage a frustrating 0-0 draw away to Nottingham Forest.
Still, a point gained and City's stumble means the Gunners now sit with a commanding advantage, and the latest Premier League odds reflect their growing dominance.
Arsenal are now odds-on favourites with every major bookmaker. City, meanwhile, will need a near-perfect run from here to stay in the race.
| Premier League Winner | Odds | Implied Probability |
|---|---|---|
| Arsenal | 2/11 | 84.6% |
| Man City | 9/2 | 18.2% |
| Aston Villa | 40/1 | 2.4% |
| Liverpool | 100/1 | 1.0% |
Derham & Dorking Deliver on Saturday
There was another big win on Saturday for OLBG-sponsored trainer Harry Derham, with Brentford Hope landing a gutsy victory at Haydock.
Sent off at 5/1, the horse was ridden by Megan Fox and produced a strong finish to secure another success for the yard.
Over in the National League South, Dorking Wanderers continued their charge with a 2-1 win away at Hampton & Richmond.
First-half goals from Annesley and Casey sealed the points and Marc White’s men now sit 5th, just three points off top spot in one of the tightest league tables in English football.
It’s shaping up to be one of the most open promotion races in years, with seven points separating first and seventh.
| National League South Winner | Odds | Implied Probability |
|---|---|---|
| Worthing | 6/4 | 40.0% |
| Hornchurch FC | 9/2 | 18.2% |

| Ebbsfleet Utd | 20/1 | 4.8% |
AFCON Final Ends in Controversy as Senegal Triumph
Sunday night saw one of the most chaotic finals in AFCON history, as Senegal edged hosts Morocco in extra time after an eventful 120 minutes packed with VAR drama, penalty controversy, and crowd tension.
Senegal had a 94th-minute goal disallowed in contentious fashion before Morocco were awarded a penalty in the 98th minute, only for top scorer Brahim Diaz to fluff his lines with a failed Panenka that was easily saved by Edouard Mendy.
A 17-minute delay followed the penalty award as tempers flared and Senegal temporarily left the pitch.
Pape Gueye struck in the 4th minute of extra time to win it for Senegal and give them their second AFCON title in five years.
Pre-tournament odds on Senegal to win saw them sit alongside Algeria as joint third favourites at 13/2.
Masked Singer Shock as Gargoyle Unmasked
Over in the world of entertainment, The Masked Singer delivered another surprise this weekend as Marcella Detroit, lead vocalist of Shakespeare’s Sister, was revealed as Gargoyle.
Detroit was tipped by some viewers earlier in the series, and notably had been joint second favourite to be behind the mask just two weeks ago according to OLBG's entertainment betting experts.
The show continues to bring the surprises, and with more unmaskings ahead, the betting specials market is expected to heat up again in the coming days.
That’s all for this week’s OLBG Weekly Betting Roundup, covering the biggest stories across sport, racing, football, and reality TV.
