Israel Adesanya's odds to beat Dricus Du Plessis drift slightly after tears shed at UFC 305 press conference
Friday morning saw the UFC 305 press conference take place at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia with Israel Adesanya and Dricus Du Plessis trading words ahead of their fight at the weekend.
Adesanya broke down in tears after a comment by Du Plessis which was aimed at Izzy's so called privileged childhood saying, “Are you taking the servants with you when you’re going back?”.
This struck a nerve with Adesanya hitting back saying, "What the f*** are you talking about? Shut the f*** up, you don’t know anything about my story, you have no idea who the f*** I am."
The former middleweight champion was shown with tears running down his cheeks while speaking and Du Plessis will have been happy that he had this affect on his rival, with betting sites continuing to offer odds on the bout.
Bet365's betting odds have now seen a slight drift on Adesanya to win the fight with the betting market putting him alongside Du Plessis now at 10/11, with the fight well and truly a pick'em bout.
Israel Adesanya v Dricus Du Plessis Winner | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Israel Adesanya | 10/11 | 52.4% |
Dricus Du Plessis | 10/11 | 52.4% |

Kai Kara-France faces Steve Erceg in the co-main event of the evening
New Zealand take on Australia in the co-main event of the evening with Kai Kara-France going against Steve Erceg in a flyweight bout.
"Dontblink" Kara-France will be hoping to get back to winning ways after defeats in his last two outings against Amir Albazi and Brandon Moreno.
"Astro Boy" Steve Erceg is 7th in the Flyweight rankings and also lost last time out against Flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja at UFC 301 back in May.
Erceg is the favourite with bookmakers to win this fight after impressing in that loss to Pantoja with his odds at 4/7 to beat Kara-France.

Kai Kara-France | 6/4 | 40.0% |
