Barbara Walker is the bookmaker's favourite for the 2023 Turner Prize award
Birmingham artist Barbara Walker remains the 6/4 favourite with bookies to win the 2023 Turner Prize award for her latest presentation 'Burden of Proof'.
'Burden of Proof' is a series of drawings that looks in further detail at the impact of the Windrush scandal, with the installation currently shown at Sharjah Biennial 15 in the UAE.
The Windrush scandal was a political scandal that began back in 2018 concerning people that have been wrongly detained, denied legal rights and threatened with deportation by the Home Office.
Betway have installed Walker as the 6/4 favourite in the market with those odds suggesting there's a 40% chance of her winning the award.
