Vladimir Putin is second favourite for the award

Vladimir Putin is the president of Russia and he has been criticised worldwide for the invasion of Ukraine by his country.

Putin is second favourite for the Time Person of the Year award and the war against Ukraine is the main reason for that.

The award isn't just for positive reasons and according to Time it's for the person or organisation who "had done the most to influence the events of the year."

At odds of 7/1, bookmaker Smarkets give Putin a 12% chance to be given the award this year.
