Ross Barkley 3/1 for Everton return with Chelsea reportedly looking to sell the player

Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley is 3/1 to make a return to his boyhood club Everton this Summer with Thomas Tuchel reportedly happy to sell the player.

Bookmakers have installed Everton as favourites to sign Barkley with manager Frank Lampard having managed the midfielder in the past when he was at Chelsea.

Barkley's Chelsea career stalled at that point though with Lampard loaning the player out to Aston Villa where he made 24 Premier League appearances.

The bad blood between Everton fans and Barkley is still there though due to his messy departure out of Goodison Park.

Ross Barkley is 3/1 to sign for Everton this Summer with the midfielder potentially making a return to Goodison Park. Thomas Tuchel has reportedly decided to sell the player this transfer window.

Barkley 12/1 to sign for Aston Villa after a loan spell at the club in the 20/21 season

Ross Barkley is 12/1 to return to Aston Villa this transfer window but Steven Gerrard looks to have finished his business this transfer window.

Aston Villa's midfield looks to be one of the strongest in the league with Philippe Coutinho and Boubacar Kamara signing this Summer so Barkley may not be needed at Villa Park.

Everton 3/1 25.0%
West Ham 8/1 11.1%
Aston Villa 12/1 7.7%
Brentford 14/1 6.7%

Brentford also feature in the betting market to sign Barkley and they have a big space in their midfield after Christian Eriksen's departure.

Eriksen left the club after his contract ended and then signed for Manchester United on a free.

Chelsea expected to do more business this Summer

Barkley's current club Chelsea are expected to do more business in the transfer market this Summer.

Raheem Sterling has been the club's big transfer so far this window but more big names have been linked including superstar Neymar.

The Blues are 6/1 to win their first 3 Premier League games of the season which includes a home game against Tottenham.

Defensive signings are where the club are looking currently with Kalidou Koulibaly signing for Chelsea last week.

Chelsea are expected to make even more signings this Summer with defensive transfers due to happen. Koulibaly signed for the club last week, strengthening the Blues defence.
