Raheem Sterling is 5/4 to join Chelsea this Summer

Manchester City and England forward Raheem Sterling is 5/4 to join Chelsea this Summer with a move away from the Etihad on the cards.

Sterling is looking for reassurances over his playing time at City and struggled at times to get into the first team last season.

Bookmakers make Chelsea favourites to sign him, with their new owners potentially looking for a marquee signing to kick off a new era.

Raheem Sterling Next Club Odds Probability
Chelsea 5/4 44.4%
Real Madrid 8/1 11.1%
Arsenal 18/1 5.3%
Barcelona 18/1 5.3%
Tottenham 20/1 4.8%

Arsenal also feature in the betting market for Sterling's next club, but at odds of 18/1 it looks like there's a slim chance of that happening.

Sterling though could well be up for a reunion with former Man City assistant manager Mikel Arteta, who currently leads the Gunners.

At odds of 5/4, it looks like if Raheem Sterling is to leave Manchester City this Summer it'll be to Chelsea according to bookmakers. The new Chelsea ownership may look at Sterling as their big first signing.

Sterling is 8/1 to move to Spanish giants Real Madrid with a move away from England always rumoured

Raheem Sterling has long been an admirer of Real Madrid and publicly admitted that to Spanish press back in 2020.

The England international told Diario AS that "Real Madrid are a fantastic club. When you see the white shirt you know exactly what the club stands for - it’s massive."

It may well be that Manchester City will be happier selling one of their key players to a team abroad rather than to Premier League rivals.

At odds of 8/1 though, bookmakers give just an 11.1% probability of that happening.

Sterling is one of the highest earners in the Premier League, earning £6,578.19 per minute at Man City, and this may be a stumbling block for Real Madrid's wage structure.

The England forward is one of the favourites to start in England's first World Cup game against Iran

England face Iran in their first game at the 2022 Qatar World Cup and Sterling is of course expected to feature.

Sterling is an ever present in Gareth Southgate's competitive teams and his performances at the Euro's last year made him a stand out player in the team.

Bookmakers give decimal odds of 1.8 that he will start for England in the game against Iran, with fellow City player Phil Foden expected to line up alongside him.

Raheem Sterling is expected to start in England's opening game against Iran at the 2022 Qatar World Cup. At decimal odds of 1.8, there's an implied probability of 55% that he does so.
