I break betting odds news as it happens, so you’re never left behind when the market moves or a top offer lands.

  • Liverpool remain favourites at 15/8, drifting slightly from 7/4.
  • Arsenal (2/1) and City (11/4) have both shortened after strong opening wins.
  • Chelsea (10/1) and United (28/1) drift after disappointing starts.

How the Market Looks After Matchday 1

The 2025/26 Premier League season is only one weekend old, but punters have already seen shifts in the outright betting market.

With Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester City all winning their opening fixtures, the top of the market has tightened with UK Betting Sites, while Chelsea and Manchester United have drifted.

Bet365 have updated their outright winner odds and it’s clear that Liverpool remain the side to beat after opening with three points.

Arsenal and City though have shortened slightly with this season already looking like one of the more competitive campaigns in recent years.

What the expert says...
Liverpool remain favourites, but what’s most telling is the narrowing gap between the top three. Arsenal and City have both shortened significantly, suggesting this season could be the closest title race we’ve seen in years. Punters are also quick to cool on Chelsea and United, who have drifted after unconvincing starts.

Liverpool Still Lead the Way

Despite their price drifting slightly from 7/4 to 15/8, Liverpool remain outright favourites.

Arne Slot’s side looked sharp in their opening win despite Bournemouth scoring two goals against them and the market suggests they’re still the benchmark.

Arsenal’s odds have shortened from 5/2 into 2/1 following their 1-0 victory away at Man United, with punters clearly impressed by the Gunners’ defensive display.

Manchester City also came in from 7/2 to 11/4, keeping them firmly in the mix to defend their crown after kicking off with three points.

Chelsea and United Drift

It was a disappointing start for Chelsea, who saw their price drift from 15/2 to 10/1.

The Blues have plenty of attacking flair but looked poor against Palace and punters are cautious.

Meanwhile, Manchester United already appear to be outsiders in the market, drifting from 20/1 to 28/1.

United had shortened after signing Sesko earlier this month but their loss to Arsenal has seen their odds go out.
