The Super Mario Bros movie has been the unexpected shock hit of the year as it leads the way at the Box Office in 2023 and bookies are expecting a strong performance for the movie at the Oscars next year.
The movie, based on Nintendo's massive franchise, has made over $1.3b at the Global Box Office so far since it's release and a whole host of awards could follow that success later this year and into 2024.
Jack Black's Original Song Peaches could win Best Original Song at the 2024 Oscars and bookmakers say that there's a 20% chance it does with odds of 4/1 in the current market.
Black is a co-writer on the song and it was added to the movie in the style of his band Tenacious D through director Aaron Horvath who wanted a ballad in the film.
The Mario Bros movie also has odds of being the Best Animated Feature
The Super Mario Bros Movie is also expected to be nominated for the Best Animated Feature award with the film's success surely making it hard for the Oscars voters to ignore.

Martin Scorcese movie Killers of the Flower Moon is still favourite at 6/4 to win the Best Picture award with fans and critics expecting it to be a massive awards player.
The movie is due to be released in October and stars Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role in what is an Apple Original and he is also 1/20 to be nominated for Best Actor at the Oscars.
Betting odds have changed massively in the past month for this one to win Best Picture with it moving from 4/1 to 6/4 with a much stronger chance now of winning according to the odds.
