  • 2026 Nobel Peace Prize odds feature Donald Trump at 4/1 after launching his 'Board of Peace'
  • Sudan’s Emergency Response Rooms lead the market at 3/1 following growing global recognition
  • Mix of organisations, activists, and political figures make this one of the most open betting years yet

Trump’s ‘Board of Peace’ Pushes Him Into Nobel Frame

With the Nobel Peace Prize not due until October, the betting market for 2026 is already heating up and there’s a familiar name near the top of the board.

Donald Trump, who has long made his desire for a Nobel Peace Prize public, has moved to 4/1 second favourite with bookies following the announcement of his 'Board of Peace' at this week’s World Economic Forum in Davos.

The initiative, reportedly aimed at "non-partisan conflict resolution," is being positioned by the former U.S. President as a platform to promote peace globally and his odds have shortened as a result.

Sudan’s Emergency Response Rooms lead the early market though at 3/1 with an implied probability of 25% given of being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize this year.

What the expert says...
It’s easy to mock Trump’s Nobel ambitions, but in a world of polarising politics, bold peace branding can sway opinion, especially if geopolitical flashpoints cool under his influence.

Who Are the Frontrunners?

A grassroots civil coordination network operating in the midst of Sudan’s ongoing conflict, the Emergency Response Rooms (ERRs) have earned international recognition for delivering aid and protecting civilians in the absence of functioning state infrastructure.

Humanitarian groups and observers have praised their community-based model, and with growing pressure for the Nobel Committee to honour non-Western, non-state peace efforts, ERRs now sit top of the market.

Having previously been nominated for the prize, largely around Israel–UAE diplomatic efforts, Donald Trump is again in the frame.

His 'Board of Peace', launched at Davos, is being seen by some as an image-rebuilding project amid a polarising U.S. election year.

After the Surprise of 2025, Anything Can Happen

The 2025 prize went to Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, a move that blindsided many bettors who had focused on humanitarian organisations and climate activists.

That decision has reminded punters just how unpredictable the Nobel Peace Prize can be and has added further uncertainty to this year’s betting.

With no dominant geopolitical resolution in 2026 so far, the market remains wide open.

While not all UK betting sites offer political specials year-round, some of the best entertainment betting sites open Nobel Peace Prize markets well ahead of the October announcement.
