Ruben Amorim now reportedly unlikely to take over at Liverpool according to latest reports

Betting markets remain open on who will be the next Liverpool manager with bookies keeping Ruben Amorim as the betting favourite despite reports on Monday that he is “unlikely” to move to the Reds.

Popular journalist David Ornstein stated in a tweet on Monday that West Ham were in talks with Amorim over an ambitious move to sign him as their manager.

In that same message Ornstein said that a move to Liverpool for Amorim now looks unlikely with the Portuguese manager reportedly a top target for the Hammers to replace David Moyes in the summer.

Amorim is one of the most sought-after managers in Europe currently with a whole host of clubs linked with him in recent weeks but the latest reports say that it’s West Ham who are the frontrunners to get him as their next manager.

Roberto Di Zerbi has moved into 4/1 with BetVictor to take over at Liverpool next with his odds shortening in the past week after those reports around favourite Amorim's position.

Jurgen Klopp announced he will be stepping down as Liverpool boss at the end of the season back in January

Jurgen Klopp announced that he will be leaving Liverpool back in January in a shock announcement that confirmed that the summer will be the end of an eight-and-a-half-year managerial reign at Anfield.

In an interview with the club’s official website, Klopp said, “It is that I am, how can I say it, running out of energy. I have no problem now, obviously, I knew it already for longer that I will have to announce it at one point, but I am absolutely fine now. I know that I cannot do the job again and again and again and again.”

Liverpool now have one of their toughest challenges as a club in decades in replacing Klopp, with the German manager one of the greatest that has ever taken charge of the Reds.

Manchester City have moved into favourites to win the Premier League title

Manchester City are the betting favourites to win the Premier League this season after both Liverpool and Arsenal slipped up in the title race a fortnight ago.

Losses to Crystal Palace and Aston Villa at home respectively meant that City were given a big helping hand in the race for their fourth consecutive Premier League title.

Wins at the weekend for both Liverpool and Arsenal though, with City playing in the FA Cup, meant that both teams have gone back above City in the current Premier League table with both sides playing again this midweek before City do on Thursday away at Brighton.

City are the ½ favourites in the betting market to win the league with the latest odds giving an implied probability of 66.7% that Pep Guardiola’s men win the title this season.
