Chris Wilder remains favourite for the Hearts job with bookies making him 5/4

Hearts search for a new manager continues to be ongoing and UK Betting Sites keep Chris Wilder at the top of the betting market at odds of 5/4.

Wilder was Watford manager for the latter stages of the season but it was agreed that he would leave at the end of the season and that has been the case.

We're a month on from Robbie Neilson's departure as Hearts boss and seemingly not any closer to getting a replacement for him, but there may well be news in the upcoming weeks.

TalkSPORT Bet though now say there's a 44% chance that it's Chris Wilder who is the replacement for Neilson with the club preparing for next season already.

Next Hearts Manager Odds Probability
Chris Wilder 5/4 44.4%
Steven Naismith 5/2 28.6%
Frankie McAvoy 8/1 11.1%
Stephen Robinson 8/1 11.1%
Paul Lambert 25/1 3.8%

Current interim boss Steven Naismith is second favourite in the betting

Steven Naismith is the current interim boss of Hearts and it could well be that he gets the job on a permanent basis going forward.

Naismith's odds have been the biggest market mover in the past few weeks with his odds slashed in half from 5/1 to 5/2 now.

Those odds give him a 28% chance of taking the role permanently and it may well be that the Hearts board choose him as their man permanently.

Hearts now out to 13/2 to finish 3rd with Aberdeen heavy favourites

With just three games left of the Scottish Premiership season most of the betting markets are closed now with Celtic champions once again.

One market that remains open though is who will finish 3rd in the table behind Celtic and Rangers and Hearts themselves are 13/2 to do so.

Aberdeen are the heavy favourites at 1/10 which is no surprise as they are 5 points clear of Hearts in 3rd with the two teams set to face each other this weekend.

A win for Hearts could potentially open the door for them finishing third but they then have an away game against and the Edinburgh Derby in a tough final run-in.

Scottish Premiership 3rd behind Celtic/Rangers Odds Probability
Aberdeen 1/10 90.9%
Hearts 13/2 13.3%
Hibernian 33/1 2.9%
St Mirren 1000/1 0.1%
