The League Two side are still looking for a new manager after they sacked Paul Hurst on 28 October after a 1-0 loss to Doncaster Rovers saw them slip down to 21st spot.

Healy's Grimsby rumours ramped up at the start of the week with Journalist Pete O'Rourke posting on X that he was in the frame for the vacant job.

The Linfield boss said, "Absolutely not, not for me," when asked if there was truth around those rumours following his side's 2-1 win over Glentoran on Tuesday evening.

BetVictor though have kept Healy at the top of the betting market with the latest odds suggesting a 60% chance that he is the next Grimsby Town manager.

Paul Hurst sacked as Grimsby manager nearly a fortnight ago now

Grimsby Town sacked previous manager Paul Hurst almost two weeks ago following their 1-0 loss to Doncaster which saw the Mariners move to 21st in League Two.

Chairman Jason Stockwood at the time told fans it wasn't a snap decision and it was one based on data and performances over a six week period.

Fans will be hoping that a new manager is in charge sooner rather than later with Grimsby's last game seeing them draw with National League South side Slough in the FA Cup.
