Boris Johnson is the 7/2 favourite to return as leader of the Conservative Party

Boris Johnson is the bookmakers favourite to return as leader of the Conservative Party after Rishi Sunak's reign ends.

Johnson was linked with coming back to the Tory Party to run for Prime Minister after Liz Truss resigned but he ended up pulling out of the race.

Paddy Power though make Boris Johnson the outright favourite to lead the Conservative Party next once Sunak goes.

Next Conservative Party Leader Odds Probability
Boris Johnson 7/2 22.2%
Penny Mordaunt 4/1 20.0%
Suella Braverman 15/2 11.8%
Jeremy Hunt 17/2 10.5%
Ben Wallace 9/1 10.0%

Johnson claimed that he had “cleared the very high hurdle of 102 nominations” to take part in the race for Prime Minister 10 days ago.

He stated though that it was simply not the right time to take over again as leader of the Conservative Party.

Boris Johnson is the outright favourite to be next leader of the Conservative Party despite pulling out of the race for Prime Minister against Rishi Sunak last week.

Penny Mordaunt just behind in the market at 4/1

Penny Mordaunt is the second favourite in the betting market to be the next Conservative Party leader.

Mordaunt pulled out of the race for Prime Minister against Rishi Sunak at the last minute but remains in the market to become leader next.

It may well be that she didn't get anywhere near the votes needed to go against Sunak in the race though.
