Bookies go 1/3 that King Charles III has most watched TV show on Christmas Day this year

With Christmas Day less than three weeks away bookies are giving odds on what will be the most watched television show on the big day.

King Charles III's first Christmas Day speech is expected to lead the way in the viewing figures with odds of 1/3 that it is the most watched programme.

Betway say there's a 75% chance that King Charles will reign in the most viewed programme chart this year.

The BBC have already started airing idents for the TV adaption of The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse.

Based on Charlie Mackesy's book, the film focuses on an unlikely friendship for a boy, mole, fox and horse as they search for the boy's home.

King Charles III's first Christmas Speech has a 75% chance of being the most viewed television show on Christmas Day this year. It's expected that there will be big anticipation around King Charles' first address on Christmas to the country.

Strictly Come Dancing was the most watched show outside of the Queen's speech last year

Last year's viewing figures saw Strictly Come Dancing the only real competition that the Queen's speech had according to the viewing figures.

Strictly's Christmas Special had more than 5.8 million viewers watch on Christmas Day, with the Queen's speech hitting 7.4 million on BBC.

Coronation Street was the most watched soap on Christmas Day with 3.25 million viewers just ahead of Emmerdale.
