Journalist David Ornstein reported that the bid was turned down on Thursday afternoon with the Seagulls having 'no interest' in letting the player go this window.

Bookies though say there's a 42% chance that the player joins Chelsea this January with Graham Potter potentially raiding his old club this window.

Chelsea have already spent over £150m this January Transfer Window and that looks like there's no chance of it stopping with 10 days still left of the month.

PSV winger Noni Madueke is currently having a medical at Chelsea with a £35m move looking to be confirmed before the end of the week which would see the total January spend near £200m.
