Democrats are odds-on at 4/9 to win the US Presidential Election vote in Michigan

With some tight seats across America ahead of the 2024 US Presidential Election in November, betting sites continue to offer betting odds across all 50 states just months before we go to the polls.

Michigan is one of those states that is described as a ‘battleground’ state with polling figures extremely tight here and the betting odds show that too.

The majority of states in America have massive favourites when it comes to both parties but here the Democrats sit at just 4/9 in the betting market to win in Michigan.

Those odds give a 69.2% chance of the Democrats winning here with the Republicans now out to 13/8 and a 38.1% implied probability of winning in November.

Bet365’s latest betting odds make it clear that a Democrat win is more likely, but as always with these tight states there is expected to be a change in the betting odds the closer we get to the voting date.

What the expert says...
Michigan is expected to vote for the Democrats at the upcoming Presidential Election with bookmakers now giving Kamala Harris' party a 69% chance of winning at the polls in November!

Polling figures give Harris a +2.1 margin with Trump lagging behind

With Michigan such a close state it’s important to look at the latest polling figures to get a slight look at which way voters will swing in November's vote.

The latest figures by Focaldata, reported on Semafor earlier this week, puts Harris at 51% in the polling compared to Trump’s 44%.

Other polling aggregation, such as RealClearPolitics, gives Harris a +2.1 margin with a big change in the way Michigan looks to vote since Joe Biden withdrew from the race.

Harris has steadily risen day by day according to the polls and now sits clear of Trump as shown in the image below.

Harris leads the betting odds to win the US Presidential Election in November

Bookies are of course offering odds on the full outcome of the US Presidential Election later this year with Kamala Harris now moving into favourite to beat Donald Trump in November.

Trump had shortened into odds-on favourite following the failed assassination attempt on his life and Joe Biden stepping down in the race to become President.

Since then though Harris has stepped up for the Democrats and now is the outright favourite to win the Election on November 5.
