Marc Cucurella is now 11/4 to stay at Brighton with Manchester City move on verge of collapse

Brighton player Marc Cucurella is now 11/4 with bookies to stay at the club with Manchester City's interest ramping up in the last week.

Reports suggest though that City have had a £30m move for the player rejected by Brighton.

The Premier League Champions will have to pay around £50m to secure the services of the player according to various news stories today.

Brighton signed Marc Cucurella for £15m last year and he still has four years left on his contract at the AMEX Stadium.

Cucurella still 1/4 to sign for Manchester City with the club hoping to make deal

Despite Brighton rejecting Manchester City's bid the Blues are still heavy odds on at 1/4 to sign the player this transfer window.

These odds mean that bookmakers give City an 80% chance of signing Cucurella this Summer compared to the 26% chance of him staying.

City are needing a left back after spending last season with Joao Cancelo playing their despite his usual position being at right back.

Oleksandr Zinchenko also played their last year but he is set to sign for Arsenal at some point this week.

More Manchester City specials available ahead of new season

Manchester City will be hoping for another big season in the 2022/23 campaign with the club favourites for every competition they are in.

City have improved their squad with the signings of Erling Haaland and Kalvin Phillips, but they have also seen big departures in Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling.

Bookmakers have already made them 28/1 to win the Quadruple this season with a whole host of trophy multiples available for the new campaign.

Man City Trophy Multiples Odds Probability
Premier League & Champions League 4/1 20.0%
Premier League & FA Cup 11/2 15.4%
Premier League, FA Cup & Champions League 18/1 5.3%
Premier League, FA Cup & EFL Cup 25/1 3.8%
Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup & Champions League 28/1 3.4%

In the 2018/19 season, City became the first and only team since to win the domestic treble with the 6-0 FA Cup win over Watford completing the feat.

They're 25/1 to repeat that feat this season by winning every domestic trophy they can, but bookies make it better odds that they win the Champions League instead of the EFL Cup.

Manchester City are 28/1 to win the Quadruple this season with the club expected to have a big year. Liverpool came close to winning it last year, competing in every single game they possibly could have in the campaign.
