Despite Brighton rejecting Manchester City's bid the Blues are still heavy odds on at 1/4 to sign the player this transfer window.
These odds mean that bookmakers give City an 80% chance of signing Cucurella this Summer compared to the 26% chance of him staying.
City are needing a left back after spending last season with Joao Cancelo playing their despite his usual position being at right back.
Oleksandr Zinchenko also played their last year but he is set to sign for Arsenal at some point this week.
