The first batch of contestants are announced for this Summer's Love Island

The new series of Love Island starts next Monday and ITV have announced the opening contestants for this Summer's series to get us in the mood for a summer of love.

Bookmakers have already priced up winning couple odds with a whole host of the contestants featured towards the top of the betting market.

Early favourites for the winning couple are Catherine & Andre and Ella & Tyrique at 16/1 but it will take until the first episode before we know who will be in a couple.

Those five contestants include 24 year-old Tyrique Hyde who is a semi-professional footballer who says he is “not afraid to go after what I want”. Charming.
