Joey Essex is the comfortable favourite to finish as the Top Male on this year's series of Love Island

Betting remains available on this summer's Love Island with the series now coming into it's second week after kicking off on ITV2 last Monday and UK Betting Sites have a clear favourite in the Top Male market.

Former TOWIE star Joey Essex is now 13/8 to win the show with bookmakers putting him clear of the rest of the men in the villa to be crowned Top Male in the final later this summer.

Essex was a shock bombshell entrant on the opening night of the series with viewers massively surprised at a celebrity name entering the show which is usually filled with unknown contestants.

With such a well known name entering the show, it comes as no surprise to see bookies instantly put him as the favourite to win and Bet365's latest odds have him well clear in the latest market.

What the expert says..

Joey Essex was placed straight in as favourite to win this year's Love Island with bookies shortening his odds even further over the weekend as punters and viewers have already seemingly chosen him as their winner after just ONE WEEK!

Samantha Kenny now clear favourite to finish as Top Female as she is couple up with Essex

Samantha Kenny is clear in the Top Female market to win the show with the latest odds already expecting her and Essex to storm the series by winning in the final.

Scouser Kenny was picked by Essex to couple up with after entering as a bombshell and the betting odds have moved in the past week to put her as the clear favourite for Top Female.

Kenny has been seen quoting TOWIE to Essex though on the show and it may well be that the former star of that series gets the ick from being with a "super-fan" of his according to some viewers.

Love Island is set to last for a total of eight weeks

This year's Love Island will last for eight weeks with the first episode airing on ITV1, ITV2 and ITVX a week ago.

There are 6 episodes of Love Island that air every week and there will likely be 57 episodes like last season that are broadcast.

If this is the case then we should see the Love Island final air around the start of August with the 4th or 5th currently up there with hosting the final this year.
