Manchester City captain Ilkay Gundogan now heavy favourite to go to Barcelona

All eyes are on Manchester City captain Ilkay Gundogan's next move after he was placed on City's released list at the end of their most successful season.

City won the treble with the captaincy of Gundogan playing a massive part in their success but it looks like he now may leave the club on a free.

Bookmakers make Barcelona the heavy favourites to sign Gundogan with the La Liga giants as short as 2/5 in the betting market to sign him.

According to those latest odds from Paddy Power there's now a 71% chance that Gundogan joins Barcelona in the next stage of his career.

Gundogan is still 2/1 to stay at City and sign a new contract at the club

Ilkay Gundogan is still fairly short to stay at Man City going into the new season and Pep Guardiola has made it clear that he wants his captain to stay at the club.

The latest odds suggest there's a 33% chance of him staying at City next season and it looks likely that we know what he'll do by the end of the month with his current contract expiring.

The latest reports from the Daily Mail say that Guardiola says, "I wish he can stay with us, but if at the end Gundogan decides to join Barcelona I can only say they will do an extraordinary signing".

City are odds on favourites to win the Premier League for the 4th year in a row

Man City go into the 23/24 Premier League season as favourites once again as they look to win a record 4th title in a row.

The 4-peat has never been done in the Premier League but it'd be no surprise to see Pep Guardiola and his team achieve the feat after their treble winning season.

Bookies have odds on who will win the league next year and it's City who are odds-on to win the title ahead of Liverpool and Arsenal in the betting market.

Premier League Winner 23/24 Odds Probability
