  • Oscar Piastri is 6/4 favourite to win in Hungary after triumph in Belgium
  • Lando Norris follows at 7/4, with Max Verstappen drifting to 5/1
  • Final race before F1 summer break could define title momentum heading into August

Piastri Leads Title Race and Betting Market for Hungarian Grand Prix

McLaren’s stranglehold on the 2025 Formula 1 season continues and the Hungarian Grand Prix betting market reflects just that with UK Betting Sites expecting dominance.

Oscar Piastri, who extended his Drivers’ Championship lead with victory in Belgium last weekend, is now 6/4 favourite with William Hill to win again in Budapest.

The Aussie heads into the final race before the summer break 16 points ahead of teammate Lando Norris, who’s next in the market at 7/4.

McLaren's resurgence has left reigning champion Max Verstappen priced up as a relative outsider at 5/1, a sign of just how far Red Bull have slipped in 2025.

What the expert says...
McLaren’s consistency has made them the team to beat in every area this season, and Oscar Piastri is driving like a future world champion. Hungary’s technical layout suits McLaren’s balance-heavy setup, so the betting market makes a lot of sense.

Verstappen and Ferrari Playing Catch-Up

Once the dominant force in F1, Max Verstappen now finds himself priced up behind both McLaren drivers for another weekend, with Red Bull’s upgrades not yielding consistent results.

Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc is quietly keeping Ferrari in the mix and represents an option at 8/1.

Both Lewis Hamilton and George Russell are 16/1 for a win, and while the pair remain competitive, podium finishes may be the ceiling this weekend unless weather or strategy causes disruption at the Hungaroring.

Where to Bet on F1 Markets
