Zootopia 2 was initially the frontrunner in the betting market but has seen its odds lengthen to 5/2 in the past month.
The original Zootopia movie broke the $1 billion mark at the box office and while expectations remain high for the sequel it now faces stiff competition from Avatar 3.
Musical adaptations like Wicked: For Good and franchise staples such as Jurassic World Rebirth are also in contention but both have also drifted out to 7/1 in the latest odds list.
